Mara Garcia, Phonexa’s Chief Financial Officer, has been recognised as a shortlisted nominee by Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing for its CFO Leadership Award, the publication announced.
Mara is among an esteemed group of finalists that includes CFOs from companies like Adobe, MarVista Entertainment, Dollar Shave Club, Boys & Girls Club, and GoodRX, among others.
This recognition continues an impressive streak of accomplishments for Mara, as she was also recently recognised as an honouree by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal for its 2022 CFO to Watch award. Mara was also nominated for the CFO of the Year award by the Los Angeles Business Journal and the Inspirational Women Leadership award by the Los Angeles Times.

Finalists and honorees will be announced on June 13 at the third annual CFO Leadership Awards taking place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
Mara – a member of the Forbes Finance Council – is Phonexa’s second nominee for the L.A. Times’ CFO Leadership Award. Lilit Davtyan, Phonexa’s previous CFO and current CEO, was nominated for the award in 2021.
As Phonexa CFO, Mara oversees the company’s tax, accounting, and finance teams, spearheading financial growth and driving expansion efforts for the all-in-one marketing automation solution for calls, leads, clicks, email, SMS, accounting, and more.
Mara is also a pivotal part of Phonexa’s Partnership Programme, working closely with Davtyan, COO Jeff Schaffer, and CMO Talar Malakian to expand relationships with key clients across different industries and verticals.
Mara is a Certified Public Accountant who obtained her B.S. from California State University, Northridge and her CPA licence from the California Board of Accountancy. She also served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for CalCPA’s LA Chapter.
